60G'( ~ PACE 32~ <br />Chairman Bennett then recognized Coolidge Porterfield, P3ceautive Secretary <br />of the Orange County Houaing Authority. <br />Chairman Bennett adjourned the Board of Commissioners and said meeting was <br />re-convened as a Board of Commissioners for the Orange County Houaing Authority. <br />Copies of the oaths of Commisaionera of the Oran.~e County Housing Authority are <br />filed on pages 330 to 332. The origins].-oaths are filed with the Clerk of <br />the Court. For other business of this meeting see minute docket of the Orange <br />County Housing Authority. <br />Chairman Bennett adjourned the Board of Commissioners for the Orange County -- __ <br />Housing Authority meeting and said meeting was re-convened as a Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />Chairman Bennett recognized Norman Long, Zoning Officer. Mr. Long stated <br />that there was only one item of business for a public hearing. Discussion ensued <br />relative to the items which had been presented by Mr. Long at the November meeting. <br />Commissioner Ward inouired as to the request of Berini Brothers Investment <br />Corporation and iP certain additional information had been filed with the County <br />Planning Board, since the November meeting. Mr. Long stated that the percolation <br />teat had been received. Commissioner Ward inquired of the County Attorney if the <br />information could be received by the Board of Commissioners at this meeting. The <br />County Attorney advised the Board that any information could be received, but that <br />he wsa of the opinion any oral presentation should be made at a public hearing in <br />order to allow the County Planning Board the advantage of the presentation. <br />Marshall Spear a, Attorney for the Berini Brothers, stated that hie cl3enta <br />wished to amend their previous reaueat for zoning and request that all property <br />be zoned to a mobile home park area. Tt was agreed by the County Attorney and Mr. <br />Swears that the Berini Brothers Investment Corporation would withdraw their <br />'current request and re-submit their application for re-zoning. <br />The County Zoning Officer was req_ueated to schedule a public hearing for <br />Monday, January 4, 1971, at 8 P.M. at the Courthouse in Hillsborough. <br />The Board reviewed the following request for re-zoning: <br />1. Amendment to re-zone from a Residential District to a Mobile Home Park <br />District, property located on the East side of State Road 1$6b and North of Highway <br />70 and containing 17.$3 acres. This property is located on Ptxo Township Map 22 <br />Lot 89 and is listed in the name of Tad M, and Nancy Williams. <br />The County Zoning Officer reported that the County Planning Board had <br />recommended that the request of Ted M. and Nancy Williams to re-zone 17.83 scree <br />in Eno Township b® denied. <br />IIpon motion of Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Ward it was moved <br />that the recommendation of the County Planning Board to re-zone 17.3 acres of <br />property owned by Ted M. & Nanoy Williams from a Residential District to a Mobile <br />Home Park District be accepted. <br />Chairman Bennett Dolled for a vote. The following voted Aye: Chairman <br />Harvey D. Bennett and Commissioners William C. 13sy, Henry S. Walker and Ira A. <br />Ward. Commissioner Norman Walker abstained from voting as he did not feel he had <br />the proper background information on the matter. <br />2. Amendment to rezone from a Residential District to a Mobile Home Park <br />District, property located on the West aide of State Road 1716 approximately one- <br />half mile South of Couch Road and aontaina eight aarea out of a twenty-two acre <br />tract. This property is located on Chapel Hill Township Tax Map L} Lat 3$ and is <br />listed in the name of W. Malcolm Hicks. <br />The County Zoning Officer reported that the County Planning Board had <br />recommended that the request of W. Malcolm Hicks to re-zone eight acres in Chapel <br />Hill Township be approved. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commisaicnera Henry S. Walker <br />and Ira A, Ward, it was moved that the recommendation of the County P1anf-ing Board ,___ <br />to re-zone eight acres of property owned by W. Malcolm Hicks in Chapel Hill <br />Township from a Residents&1 District to a Mobile Home Park be approved. <br />Chairman Bennett called for a vote. The following noted Aye: Chairman <br />Harvey D. Bennett and Comtrd.saionera William C, I2ay, Benny S, Walker and Ira A. <br />Ward. Commissioner Norman Walker abstained from voting as he did not feel he <br />had the proper background information on the matter. <br />
