Attachment 4 9 9 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2030 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to update its Comprehensive <br />Plan for the future development and preservation of Orange County; <br />WHEREAS, the Board authorized a timetable and process for the development of the <br />2030 Comprehensive Plan; <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioners established a team of County advisory boards, staff, <br />and consultants to prepare the Plan, held public hearings and information meetings to <br />hear citizen comments, and conducted work sessions on a draft Comprehensive Plan; <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Board at its October 1, 2008 meeting unanimously <br />recommended adoption of the draft Comprehensive Plan to include its proposed <br />revisions that have been conveyed to the Board of County Commissioners; <br />WHEREAS, the Board reviewed the draft Comprehensive Plan, public comments <br />received during the public hearing process, and the Planning Board's proposed <br />revisions; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Orange County Board of County <br />Commissioners that the Board hereby adopts the 2030 Comprehensive Plan as <br />contained in the May 6, 2008 draft, with revisions as reflected in Attachments 1 and 2, <br />"Table of BOCC Accepted Planning Board Revisions" and "Table of BOCC Additional <br />Revisions", respectively. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner ,seconded by Commissioner <br />the foregoing resolution was adopted this the day of , <br />2008 <br />I, Donna Baker, Clerk to the Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange, North <br />Carolina, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a true copy of so much of the <br />proceedings of said Board at a meeting held on November 18, 2008, as relates in any <br />way to the adoption of the foregoing and that said proceedings are recorded in the <br />minutes of said Board. <br />WITNESS my hand and the seal of said County, this day of , <br />2008. <br />Clerk to the Board of Commissioners <br />
