Attachment 3 9 ~ <br />STAFF SUMMARY OF TABLE OF BOCC ADDITIONAL REVISIONS -The majority of <br />the text revisions made by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to the May 6, <br />2008 draft Comprehensive Plan do not involve changes to the original meaning or <br />intent. In most cases, BOCC revisions provide clarifying language, additional <br />complementary information, or correction of minor technical, typographical, or <br />grammatical errors. <br />Following is a summary list of BOCC revisions that staff feels are most significant and <br />substantive. References have also been provided to the corresponding item numbers in <br />the Table of BOCC Revisions (Attachment 2). This list has been prepared to aid the <br />public in its understanding of the text changes. <br />1. Concept of "Sustainable Government" is to be added (Items 3, 65, 66, 70, 99, and <br />100). <br />2. Revision to Land Use Element Objective LU-4.2, which addresses the identification <br />and elimination of any existing regulatory impediments to objectives identified in the <br />Comprehensive Plan (item 33). <br />3. Additional objective to analyze County subdivision trends and recommend any <br />ordinance amendments that may be appropriate (Item 35). <br />4. Additional objective regarding possible nutrient trading and stormwater credits <br />between the towns and County (Item 56). <br />5. Additional objective regarding coordination with the Orange-Alamance Water <br />System (Item 84). <br />6. Additions to the Overarching Goal of the Transportation Element (Item 107). <br />7. Revised Transportation Element Objectives (Item 112). <br />11/13/2008 <br />
