• Copies of OC Franchise Ordinance, Orange County/OCRS contract, EMS Services <br /> Franchise and NC Administrative Code provided by Captain Woodward to all <br /> attendees. <br /> • ES will develop a status sheet to keep everyone on the same page to help determine <br /> future goals and ongoing actions. <br /> • All changes and updates to meeting times should be sent to Lysa May. <br /> • Chief Matthews provided additional training records for 2006, 2007 and 2008. The <br /> records are divided into 3 sections: Current Rescue Technicians, Current State <br /> Association Roster, and Rescue Technicians as of September 281h. Affiliate status- <br /> Rescue Technician Instructors. <br /> • OCRS members are authorized to take their Scope of Practice tests presented by <br /> OrCES at Durham Tech (DTCC). <br /> • Ride-along times needed for squad EMTs. ES is in the process of reviewing and <br /> changing the rider policy to improve control and increase efficiency. <br /> • Ride times and training requirements from ES including assessment process will be <br /> provided by Captain Woodward on September 22 for OCRS. <br /> • Hard copies for 2006 are not complete; Chief Mathews will provide what he has to <br /> Lieutenant Joseph. Hard copies for 2007 and 2008 will be provided. <br /> • Lieutenant Joseph will provide a list of any lapses in training records or other <br /> information needed to complete his review. <br /> • Department of Insurance (DOI) transcripts not provided in the initial package given to <br /> the BOCC. It was agreed the information would be added to a future package after all <br /> hard copies of training provided. <br /> • If possible, ES to provide a timeframe for both public record requests. Initial request <br /> made August 151h, 2008. <br /> • Chairman Seip would like to have performance standards/guidelines for extrication <br /> services for Orange County. <br /> • State Office of EMS is making policy changes. Captain Woodward will keep OCRS <br /> apprised of any changes that affect their organization. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: <br /> Assistant Chief of the Orange County Rescue Squad Nathan Huey read a prepared <br /> statement. He said that his handout was much longer than three minutes, so he would just <br /> touch on a few key items. He said that when the rescue squad provided training records to <br /> Emergency Services, it also provided copies of DOI transcript. These copies are in the packet <br />
