NOTE: After shingles <br />are removed if further damage exists to the sheathing is discovered the <br />Owner, Contractor and Rehabilitation Specialist will meet to review the work, <br />determine a course of action and, if necessary, a cost for any additional work. <br />Insta1130 lb felt paper, white eve/gable starter, new vent boots and <br />25 year shingles. Refer to .manufacturer installation instructions. <br />2. Install a shingle type ridge vent. Vent to start approximately 18" from <br />gable end. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions. <br />Remove a three (3) inch section from the ridge for ventilation. <br />3. Install over-sized continuous aluminum gutters and downspouts on <br />the front and rear fascias. NOTE: Do not install downspouts on the <br />driveway side of the unit. Install one over-sized downspouts on the <br />front and-back to divert water to the down slope of the property. <br />Install splash blocks at both downspouts. Refer to Rehabilitation <br />Specialist for location. <br />4. Install aluminum gutter guards on the gutters. Note: Gutter guards <br />shall be installed under starter shingle and shall properly cover <br />gutter to prevent debris from entering gutter. <br />EXTERIOR: <br />Replace approximately 82' of damaged fascia on the unit. Remove <br />all fascia on the unit and replace with fur, cedar or # 1 yellow pine trim. <br />Install new trim with galvanized nails. Secure all loose trim and prime <br />all bare wood and new trim with an oil based primer. Apply two coats <br />of primer to all bare trim. <br />2. Prepare the fascias, overhangs and gables for aluminum coil and <br />vinyl siding. Remove an 8" -10" wide section from the soffit to allow <br />air flow into the attic. Wrap the exterior trim with white aluminum <br />coil stock. Install vented soffit in the overhangs and install Double 5 <br />vinyl siding on both gables. Note: Vinyl siding to cover gable vents. <br />All aluminum and vinyl to be properly installed. All joints to be water <br />tight. Edges of aluminum to be hemmed to provide a finished look. <br />edge. Owner to choose color of vinyl siding. <br />a~ <br />
