Concrete footing to have rebar installed as <br />follows: four (4) #4 continuous horizontal rebar set on "chairs" 2" (minimum) below <br />top of footing; #4 bars extending front to back of footing set 2" below top of footing <br />and spaced at 27" on center running the length of the footing; #4 rebar bent dowels set <br />on "chairs" 3" (minimum) from bottom of footing running front to back and spaced 32" <br />on center running the length of the footing and bending up to rise vertically inside <br />concrete block wall at 3" from back of wall and ending to 2" from top of wall; one (1) <br />#4 continuous horizontal rebar running the length of the footing secured to the front end <br />of each dowel. New retaining wall to be constructed with 12"W X 8"H X 16"L <br />concrete block, with front face of wall set 8" back from front face of footing, with <br />joints staggered % block length on each course, with two (2) #4 continuous horizontal <br />rebar in bond beams spaced at 16" on center vertically and with block cells filled <br />continuously bottom to top with concrete. Block wall to have 12"W X 4"H X 16"L <br />concrete cap blocks secured with concrete adhesive arid joints staggered 1/2 block <br />length on top course of block wall. Rebar cross intersections to be secured with wire <br />bar ties, corner laps to be 25" (minimum) and when continuous bars are not possible <br />then rebar laps to be 25" (minimum) and secured with wire bar ties. All rebar to have <br />2" (minimum) concrete coverage. Safety caps to be used on exposed rebar ends during <br />construction. Concrete for footing and filling of block cells to be 4,000 PSI <br />(minimum). Waterproof back of concrete block wall. Drain channel to be lined with <br />landscape fabric and have 4" diameter perforated drain pipe wrapped in landscape <br />fabric at bottom of channel extending the length of the wall, drain pipe to pass through <br />sleeve embedded in footing at right end wall return and extend to daylight <br />approximately 5' beyond right end of wall. Install drain rock in drain channel <br />approximately 12" wide to within 6" of top of wall for full length of wall and return.. <br />Fill top 6" of drain channel with native soil. Re-grade soil between wall and house and <br />at left end of wall to provide gradual slope from upper to lower levels. Re-install chain <br />link post adjacent to new wall. <br />II.
