The following item is <br />proposed for consideration at the October 13, 1999, public hearing. <br />Amendment to the Joint PlanningA¢reement <br />Orange County proposes amendments to the Joint Planning Agreement to establish consistent <br />review time limits. The Joint Planning Agreement addresses intergovernmental review of <br />proposed ordinance amendments in the Transition Areas and Rural Buffer and establishes <br />time frames for review. Review times vary from ten (10) days (with the concurrence of the <br />Orange County Manager) to thirty (30) days. Proposed amendments to the Joint Planning <br />Agreement would establish a consistent time of sixty (60) days throughout. <br />This amendment requires the approval of the governing boards of Orange County, Chapel <br />Hill, and Carrboro. <br />None. <br />The Administration recommends approval of the Notice of Public Hearing for October 13, <br />1999. <br />
