aeon : -7. • ~ acE 295 <br />The County Administrator advised the Board that he had had no reply from <br />the Towne of Chapel HI11 or Carrboro relative to t_ze Ambulance service inquiry. <br />Commissioner Ward reported that he had been advised, by letter, that the <br />A.3.C, Board had voted unanimnualy to endorse, for s one pear period, the <br />propvsaT submitted by the Mental Health Authority for the eatablisr~nent of a <br />rehibiliation program for alcoholics. <br />A reaueat was made to release, from a current O.A.A. lien, the preparty oP <br />Lizzia White. Discussion ensued relative tb said request. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Ray, it wee <br />moved and adopted that the lien against the Lizzia White property be released <br />for the avm of $b00.00. <br />Adger Wilson introduced General Arthux Harrow of Willow Terrace, Chapel <br />Hill, North Carolina, to the Bcard. He stated that Mr. Harrow wished to be <br />considered for an appointment to the Chapel Hill Planning Board. Mr. Wilson `- <br />cited the saaompliahments of General Harrow. <br />Tom Ward, Director of Social Services, presented the following Blind Aid <br />i <br />Agenda: <br />AID TO THE BLIND AGENDA ~.' <br />July 6, 1970 '- <br />NAME EFF. I <br />Chairman Smith brought to the attention of the Board that there were two i <br />appointments which should be made to the Chapel Hill Board of Adfustmenta and <br />one appointment to the Chapel Hill Planning Board. Discussion ensued. ' <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, it <br />was moved and adopted that Arthur Harrow be appointed to the Chapel Hill Planning <br />E3oard for a term beginning immediately and expiring on July 1, 1975. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Bennett, seconded by.Cammisaioner Ward, it was ' <br />moved and adopted that Marion Alexander of Meadow Lane, Chapel Hill, North <br />Carolina, be appointed as a member of the Chapel Hill Board of Ad~uatments for a <br />term which would be Immediately effective and which would expire on July 1, 1973. I <br />and that Reed MnCracken of Glen Heights, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, be appointed <br />as.a member oP the Chapel Hill Board of Ad~ustmenta for a term which would be I <br />immediately effective and which would expire on July 1, 1972. ', <br />i <br />Chairman Smith filed the following items with the Clerk: <br />i <br />1. Letters from Fred D. Summers, Jr. relative to paving of SR 1958 and 1972 <br />2.
