They are Dean Edwards - <br />and Jon Gilmore. Both are very well qualified and experienced animal <br />investigators. <br />Amanda Graham, one of ourptevt?ous;1'~;A appointees, has moved to <br />Raleigh. She has served diligently through this last year, and she will <br />continue do help us and io teach cruei~y investigation workshops. <br />However, she is now in her second year of graduate school, and she must <br />devote more time to her studies. Our other 19-A appointment, Lorri <br />Mitchell, trroved. to New York. <br />Out first nominee; Dean Edwards, IS our Associate Director. He has taken <br />Amanda's position. Dean planned and hosted the Raleigh 3~tay 1999 <br />Equine Investigation Workshop. He has also attended a 6-hour Basic <br />Animal Investigation Workshop within the past year. Dean received an AA <br />in 8usinesa Adminis#ratlon from Manatee Community College before <br />becoming Director of the SPCA of Polk County, Florida. He was also a <br />general manager at a radio station and has excellent presence and people <br />skills. He has solid experience in animal Investigation both at APS of <br />Orange County and in Florida. <br />Dean roceived certification from the Humane Society of the United States <br />for "Disaster Animal Response Training," and he has been appointed to the <br />N.C. Emergency Animal Rescue Response Planning Committee. He was <br />certified as an Anima! Euthanasia Technician in Florida, and attended a <br />certification workshop in "Shelter Design and Renovations." <br />
