Box 429 <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278 <br />Re: Additional Transportation Analyses <br />For Proposed Hillsborough Assemblage <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina <br />Dear Ms. Hauth: <br />Kimley -Horn and Associates, Inc. completed the Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) <br />for the proposed Hillsborough Assemblage mixed use development in May 1999. <br />This letter is intended to provide you with the additional analyses of the <br />surrounding roadway network as requested. These additional analyses <br />summarize the traffic generation, distribution and assignment of project traffic <br />and the roadway improvements. <br />Background Data <br />The proposed Hillsborough Assemblage site is located in the northeast quadrant <br />of the Interstate 40 West and the Old NC 86 interchange in Hillsborough, North <br />Carolina. The proposed development consists of 180 single - family homes, 275 <br />townhouses, 100 assisted living units, a 60 -unit retirement community, a 4,000 <br />Square Foot (SF) daycare, 400,000 SF of retail space, 835,000 SF of office space, <br />600 apartments, a 200 -room hotel and a fire station. <br />The study area for this additional traffic analysis includes the following <br />intersections: <br />• Old NC 86 and the I -40 Eastbound Ramps <br />• Old NC 86 and the I -40 Westbound Ramps <br />• Old NC 86 and the I -85 Northbound Ramps <br />• Old NC 86 and the 1 -85 Southbound Ramps <br />• Old NC 86 and Oakdale Drive <br />• Old NC 86 and Cardinal Drive <br />The proposed development is located in the southern section of Hillsborough and <br />is well served by existing thoroughfares.
