In accordance with the annual <br />budget ordinance, funds for these outstanding purchase orders are automatically re- <br />appropriated in the new fiscal year's budget. Other appropriations are not fully expended <br />at the end of the fiscal year because there are no outstanding purchase. orders. Funds <br />_ for these. planned but unencumbered expenditures-:are set aside as_a reserved _portion of <br />fund balance. In order to carry these funds forward and to authorize their expenditure in <br />fiscal year 1999-00, it is necessary for the Board to approve the attached amendment. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approve the budget ordinance amendments. <br />
