F ... _ .. <br />Page t <br />Flood assistance rendered by the Orange County Sheriff's Office to Greene and Duplin Counties. <br />Orange County Dept Doug Koehler has been able to obtain a mobile home from an Orange County <br />citizen for Sheriff Lemmie Smith. This mobile home a 1985 Oakwood mobile home, valued at over <br />$ 16,000 is going to Greene County to be used by the Sheriff, and his family. The mobile home was <br />given without cost to the Sheriff by Robert Bledsoe, a resident who had just completed building a <br />home on Brown Road. The owner after hearing from Deputy Koehler about how bad things were in <br />Greene County decided to give the mobile home away rather than sell it. <br />The mobile home was moved on Monday October 4, 1999 to Greene County, they soon will have a <br />home to live in. <br />We found from speaking with people in Greene County that Sheriff Smith also lost his home when <br />"Fran" came through. <br />As of today the Orange County Sherii~s Office personnel have made Samaritan contributions of <br />$1830.00 to Greene County law enforcement to help them in their time of need. <br />Total hours expended for both Counties 1.411 <br />
