As discussion proceeded, there were expressions by all of us indicating a deeper understanding of the issues faced by the other party. Mebane officials indicated a willingness to pursue the concept of joint planning with Orange. County.. With regard to a moratorium, Mebane officials agreed to look at the proposed legislation; and there were expressions made that a moratorium only on satellite annexations and only until joint Planning was in place may be more acceptable than their understanding of the present drafted legislation. - : Discussion was concluded with the agreement that Mebane would respond to the County letter within a week.
