Gledhill <br />Decision of the Board of County 732-2196 <br />Commissioners <br />TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br />Hillsborough 732-8181 <br />Chapel Hill .968-4501 <br />Durham 688-7331 <br />Mebane 336-227-2031 <br />PURPOSE: To comply with an Orange County Superior Court Order dated September 30, 1999. <br />BACKGROUND: On September 27, 1999 the Orange County Superior Court commenced the <br />hearing on the appeal of American Towers, Inc. d/b/a Gearon Communications of the Board of <br />County Commissioners' denial of an application for a telecommunications tower. After hearing from <br />counsel of the parties and reviewing the file, the Court entered the Order which is attached to this <br />agenda abstract. The decision of the Board which is attached to this abstract has been prepared by <br />the County Attorney to comply with the Court's Order. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Unknown. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): It is the recommendation of the County Attorney that the Board adopt the <br />attached findings, as contained in the Decision of the Orange County Board of Commissioners in <br />the matter of the Class A Special Use Permit, Application SUP-2-98. <br />mydocumentslamtowersabstract. doc <br />
