2 <br />16. Informational packages have also been provided to the Managers of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, <br />and Hillsborough. <br />FINANCIAL. IMPACT: <br />There is no direct financial impact associated with BOCC discussion and formal approval of the <br />sites recommended for preliminary public comment under the adopted Community-Specific <br />Criteria. There will likely be substantial costs to the County (Solid Waste Enterprise Fund) in <br />the overall design and development of the proposed site and the permitting and construction of <br />the actual facility and any ancillary features. <br />RECOMiVIENDATION(S): <br />The Manager recommends that the Board <br />1. Receive and discuss the presentation and background information from Olver, Inc. <br />pertaining to the application of Exclusionary and Technical Criteria and the .resulting eleven <br />qualified sites for locating a Transfer Station <br />2. Approve the seven sites as recommended by Olver, Inc. for preliminary Community- <br />. Specific., or a modification thereof as the BOCC may desire <br />3. Approve the plan proposed by Olver, Inc. for obtaining initial public comment and input on <br />the sites approved by the BOCC for Community-Specific Criteria evaluation, or a <br />modification thereof as the BOCC may desire <br />4. Provide any additional guidance or direction to the Manager and Olver, Inc. that may be <br />necessary to facilitate a projected site selection in November <br />
