eo~~ ~ ~auE 2s3 <br />Tom Ward, Social Services Director, advised the Board that an evaluation <br />survey of the agencies facilities at the Carrboro office did not meet the State <br />standards and, therefore, Orange County was not in oomplianca with the State <br />Boards requirements for office facilities, Discussion ensued. <br />Chairman Smith brought to the attention of the Board that the matter of <br />setting the compensation for all seats, on the Board of Commissioners, moat be <br />considered at Chia meeting in order that due public notice might be published. <br />Commissioner Walker introduced the following resolution: <br />BE TT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the County of <br />Orange, State of North Carolina, pursuant to the authority of General <br />Statutes 1s3-13, does hereby sat the compensation for all seats on <br />the Board of County Commissioners as follows: <br />Each Commissioner shall be entitled to receive as compensation <br />One Hundred Dollars ($1C0.00) per month, p7.us Twenty-Five Dollars ($2$.00) <br />per meeting far all meetings in excess of two during any one calendar <br />month at which the attendance of said Board member or metnbera is required <br />in the performance oP his or their duties as such Commissioner. xn <br />addition to said soma each Conmlisaionar shall be entitled to a travel <br />allowance of ten cents per mile for each mile travelled in connection with <br />the attendance at any required meeting. <br />The above compensation shall become effective for all seats on the <br />Board following the aext general el®ction far seats on said Board. <br />IIpon motion of Commissioner Sennett, seconded by Commissioner Ray, <br />the foregoing resolution was passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Chairmen Carl M.
