Next Steps <br />1- October 28, 2008 Budget Work Session -Board of County Commissioners and staff <br />discuss recommended funding levels for County projects at scheduled budget work <br />session, and Commissioners provide further direction to staff regarding the <br />recommended 2009-19 County CIP. <br />November 13, 2008 Budget Work Session -Chapel Hill Carrboro City and Orange <br />County Boards of Education present their approved 2009-19 CIP to Commissioners at <br />scheduled budget work session. <br />November 18, 2008 Regular Meeting -Public Hearing to receive comments regarding <br />the 2009-19 Recommended County and Schools' CIP. <br />December 1, 2008 Regular Meeting -Opportunity for Commissioners to provide further <br />direction that may follow the public hearing scheduled for November 18, 2008. <br />December 11, 2008 Regular Meeting -Board of County Commissioners recognizes <br />School and County capital needs by adopting the ten-year CIP. <br />March 2009 Regular Meeting -Commissioners adopt Schools and County 2009=10 <br />Capital Budget (the first year of the multi-year capital plan) and corresponding capital <br />project ordinances that authorize capital expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The financial and tax rate impact of funded and unfunded County capital <br />projects will be presented during tonight's meeting. During the November 13, 2008 work <br />session, each school district will present the financial and tax rate impact of their respective <br />capital projects. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board receive the Recommended <br />2009-19 County Capital Investment Plan (CIP). <br />
