Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />919-245-2750 <br />June 25, 2008 <br />To: Robert Davis <br />Orange County Planning Dept. <br />From: Gail Hughes ~~ ~~ <br />Soil Conservationist <br />Orange Soil and Water Conservation I?istrict <br />RE: The Forest at Little River subdivision <br />According to the Orange County Soil Survey, the following soils are located on this site <br />and in the surrounding area: <br />Ch- Chewacla Loam <br />GeB- Georgeville silt Loam: 2-6 % slope (B) <br />GeC-Georgeville silt loam: 6-10% slope (C) <br />TaD- Tatum silt loam, 8-15% (D) <br />Attached are the capability classes for each soil listed above. <br />This soil information is to be used as a general reference based on information found in <br />the Orange County Soil Survey. <br />The program that is used to locate soils does not have property boundaries; therefore, the <br />information provided indicates the soils that are in the general area. <br />An on-site investigation by the Environmental Health Dept. should determine soil <br />capabilities and exact locations of septic tanks. <br />If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email. <br />
