recruit members for subsequent appointment so that the Committee may begin in December or <br />January. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Depending on the scope and timeline of the Committee's work, there is <br />likely to be a significant allocation of existing County staff time to provide technical and <br />administrative support to the Committee. The 1999 -2000 budget includes $10,000 to help <br />offset the cost of that support, including possible external support from temporary administrative <br />staff. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board discuss the elements of a <br />charge and composition for a new or reconstituted I &E Committee, and provide appropriate <br />direction to staff. <br />
