In October 1993, Orange County began operating <br />six Solid Waste Convenience Centers throughout <br />the County, including the site at High Rock Road. <br />The High Rock Road site was developed on <br />property owned by Carl Walters, Jr. The County <br />also holds a lease on property on Saddle Club Road <br />that was previously proposed for use <br />—A, as a solid waste convenience center. <br />R ia, <br />I Toga <br />44 jme.n+1",:L- 2 <br />OF <br />1 <br />SOLIDWASTE <br />At the request of the property owner, Orange County is proposing to relocate the <br />existing Solid Waste Convenience Center approximately 1000 feet northwest on High <br />Rock Road to a new site. The County is proposing to lease an eight -acre parcel with <br />one -acre used for the actual convenience center. The leases on the existing site and <br />the Saddle Club Road site would be terminated following relocation to the new site. <br />The proposed relocation would allow Orange County to pro) <br />improved, more efficient service to Convenience Center use <br />including greater reuse and recycling opportunities such as a <br />salvage shed and yard waste collection area.
