(d) Letter from Developer Indicating <br />Agreement with Recommended <br />Conditions of Approval (To Be <br />Distributed Prior to the Meeting) <br />(Under Separate Cover) <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Craig Benedict, 245-2592 <br />Michael Harvey. 245-2607 <br />Laura Blackmon, 245-2300 <br />Geoffrey Gledhill, 732-8126 <br />PURPOSE: To approve the rezoning and Class A Special Use Permit for the Buckhorn Village <br />Planned Development (hereafter `BVPD') submitted by Buckhorn Road Associates LLC on <br />December 22, 2007. <br />BACKGROUND: The project and associated applications were approved in principle on <br />October 7, 2008. <br />As background context, on February 25, 2008 and April 1, 2008, the BOCC and the Planning <br />Board held a Joint Public Hearing to review BVPD Planned Development (hereafter `PD') <br />Rezoning Application and Class A Special Use Permit (hereafter `SUP') proposing the <br />development of an approximately 1.14 million square foot retail development with a minor <br />residential component on 128 acres of property located within the I-85/Buckhorn Road <br />Economic Development District (hereafter `EDD') and Commercial Industrial land use. The <br />development is proposed to meet detailed LEED standards as noted within the record and <br />conditions of approval (condition u). This property is located near the southeast corner of the I- <br />85 Buckhorn Road intersection. <br />On September 2 the Board of County Commissioners received the record/evidence and <br />recommendations for the project from the Zoning Officer and Planning Board and closed the <br />public hearing. <br />
