Attachment D is a draft detail of how Olver, Inc. would conduct a public <br />input session under authority of the BOCC. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />There is no direct financial impact associated with the Board discussion of public participation <br />strategies in anticipation of the next Transfer Station Siting work session. There will likely be <br />substantial costs, at the end of the process, to the County (Solid Waste Enterprise Fund) in the <br />overall design and development of a specific site and the permitting and construction of the <br />actual facility and any ancillary features. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS): <br />The Manager recommends the Board discuss proposals for public participation in the process <br />and provide feedback and direction to County Management in preparation for the Transfer <br />Station work session on October 21, 2008. The Board would decide at that time what process <br />it would authorize for implementation by Olver, Inc. <br />
