The projection on the Office Building and the Library <br /> is May 2009. Hillsborough Commons has a three-month upfit time. There would be six months <br /> of operating costs for Hillsborough Commons because of upfront sustainable design features. <br /> Chair Jacobs suggested moving the Office Building and the Library to next fiscal year <br /> and Pam Jones suggested keeping in one month because of substantial completion. This <br /> savings would equal $105,000. On the Justice Facility, it could be delayed two months to save <br /> $38,000. For Hillsborough Commons, it could be funded for six months, which would save <br /> $492,000. The total saved is $635,494. <br /> Commissioner Gordon asked for a sheet with Hillsborough Commons that shows the <br /> capital costs. <br /> It was pointed out that the offsetting revenues would also have to be reduced in this <br /> scenario, so the net reduction is $389,000. <br /> A motion was made by Chair Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Nelson to defer <br /> installation of central permitting until the next fiscal year, which is $325,000. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> A motion was made by Chair Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Carey to defer the <br /> Small Business Pool, which is $75,000. <br /> Commissioner Nelson said that he would vote against this because this is a good <br /> program for economic development. <br /> Chair Jacobs said that if the first $75,000 were expended, then he would be receptive to <br /> staff coming back to put more money in as the year goes on.
