Page 2 <br />Meeting Minutes between OrCES and OCRS <br />September 15, 2008 <br />• Chief Matthews provided additional training records for 2006, 2007 and <br />2008. The records are divided into 3 sections: Current Rescue <br />Technicians, Current State Association Roster, and Rescue Technicians <br />as of September 28t". Affiliate status-Rescue Technician Instructors. <br />• OCRS members are authorized to take their Scope of Practice tests <br />presented by OrCES at Durham Tech (DTCC). <br />• Ride-along times needed for squad EMTs. ES is in the process of <br />reviewing and changing the rider policy to improve control and increase <br />efficiency. <br />• Ride times and training requirements from ES including assessment <br />process will be provided by Captain Woodward on September 22 for <br />OCRS. <br />• Hard copies for 2006 are not complete; Chief Mathews will provide what <br />he has to Lieutenant Joseph. Hard copies for 2007 and 2008 will be <br />provided. <br />• Lieutenant Joseph will provide a list of any lapses in training records or <br />other information needed to complete his review. <br />• Department of Insurance (DOI) transcripts not provided in the initial <br />package given to the BOCC. It was agreed the information would be <br />added to a future package after all hard copies of training provided. <br />• If possible, ES to provide a timeframe for both public record requests. <br />Initial request made August 15t", 2008. <br />• Chairman Seip would like to have performance standards/guidelines for <br />extrication services for Orange County. <br />• State Office of EMS is making policy changes.
