Chris Heaney [cdheaney@gmail.com]
Sent: Monday, May 19, 2008 11:36 AM
To: CompPlanUpdate
Subject: Request to include detailed plans in the Orange County Comprehensive Plan to support the
Rogers-Eubanks communities
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to request that the Orange County Comprehensive Plan include specific plans
and recommendations for solutions to the issues raised by the Rogers-Eubanks Neighborhood
Association (RENA) and the Coalition to End Environmental Racism (CEEB). These issues
include:
1) Ending the 35 year burden of hosting of solid waste facilities by the Rogers-Eubanks
neighborhood;
2) Providing public funding for provision of public, regulated drinking water and sewer
service to all households in the Rogers-Eubanks neighborhood and Rogers Road Historic
Area;
3) Providing funding for other basic municipal services to residents. of the Rogers-Eubanks
neighborhood and Rogers Road Historic Area including, but not limited to paved roads,
paved sidewalks, stormwater drains, street lights, public bus service (including covered
bus stops), emergency protection services (i.e., fire, police protection, ambulatory and
rescue squad).
sincerely,
Chris Heaney
1000 N. Greensboro St.
Carrbor_o, NC ?7510
