Scope of the position includes contracts, labor and employment law, land use, real <br />estate, environmental law, constitutional law, ordinances and codes, and intergovernmental <br />agreements. Must be licensed in North Carolina on date of appointment. * OIC <br />Minimum 10 years experience in local government law, chief counsel or high level responsibility <br />in a comparable public setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Clear <br />communicator, patient, with strengths in facilitating the legislative process, parliamentary <br />procedure, open meetings, and open records.
