2
CITIZEN OPPOSITION: During the September 16, 2008 BOCC meeting, additional testimony
was offered by adjacent property owners, specifically an impact analysis completed by Mr. Jeff
Odell, outlining potential negative impacts that the proposed school would have on an adjacent
property owned by Mr. Keith Tilley.
As previously indicated by staff, there has been vocal opposition to this project from all
surrounding property owners since the Public Hearing held on June 24, 2008.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: This project has been reviewed by various County departments who
have determined that the provision of services to support the proposed school will not create
the need for additional funding.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Administration recommends that the Board:
1. Receive the memorandums/letters from staff addressing questions asked by the Board at
the September 16, 2008 meeting,
2. Close the Public Hearing and begin deliberation on the application in accordance with
the work sheet provided within Attachment Two (2), and
3. Take action to approve the application, and impose the fifteen (15) recommended
conditions in accordance with the applicable Findings of Fact detailed within Attachment
Two (2) and the Resolution of Approval detailed within Attachment Five (5) of this
Abstract.
