If additional meetings beyond these two are requested of the Consultant, <br />TischlerBise has indicated the charge would be $2,500 per meeting. <br />September 25 2008 Joint BOCC/School Boards Meeting <br />Educational Facilities Impact Fees were a topic for discussion at the September 25, 2008 Joint <br />BOCC/School Boards meeting. Meeting participants stressed the need to be mindful of how <br />impact fees could affect housing affordability. Additionally, the idea that impact fees should rise <br />each year in conjunction with an inflationary index rather than requiring a substantial increase <br />every few years was suggested. Answers to questions raised at the September 25 joint <br />BOCC/School Boards meeting will be provided during the planned discussion of this <br />item at the Board's October 14, 2008 work session. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact with receiving the draft technical reports and <br />setting a public hearing to hear public comments on the technical reports. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br />1. Receive the draft reports. <br />2. Direct staff to set a public hearing for the October 21, 2008 BOCC meeting to have the <br />consultant present the draft technical reports and answer any technical questions, and <br />to hear public comments on the draft technical reports. <br />
