Gattis, Acting Clerk <br />MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />April 21, 1969 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County met in the Commissioners <br />Room of the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, <br />April 21, 1969, in adjourned session. <br />Members Present: Vice Chairman Henry S. Walker and Commissioners, <br />Harvey D. Bennett, William C. Ray and Ira A. Ward. <br />Members Absent: Chairman Carl M. Smith. <br />This meeting was a joint meeting with the County Planning Board. <br />Pearson Stewart, Director of the Research Triangle Regional Planning <br />Commission, was present and presented a report on the county wide water <br />and sewer study his group was preparing. Discussion ensued. <br />Sheriff C. D. Knight was present and recuested that the Board of Commissioners <br />designate one of its members to serve on the planning committee of the Joint <br />Alamance, Chatham and Orange Law and Order Committee. Discussion ensued. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Ward, it <br />was moved and unanimously adopted, that Commissioner Walker be designated as <br />the Board is representative to the Planning Committee of the Alamance, Chatham <br />and Orange District Law and Order Committee. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was <br />adjourned, <br />Henry S.
