flE28t?27'])~{]l' 2 <br />• <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A STRATEGIC GROWTH PLAN <br />AND GALLING FOR PREPARATION OF <br />AN INTERLOCAL h+GRE1r1V1ENT <br />WHEREAS, Orange County and the Town of Hillsborough have worked <br />cooperatively to prepare a Strategic Growth Plan far areas <br />surrounding the Town of Hillsborough; and <br />WHEREAS, a Strategic Growth Plan Report (dated November, 2006) has <br />been produced as a result of this initiative, documenting <br />existing conditions, constraints, and opportunities, and <br />. suggesting patterns far jursdiction over land management <br />policies and regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, the P.eporf provides a tratr~ework for additiana[ discussions <br />regarding jurisdiciicn and land use patterns; and <br />WHEREAS, a map has been prepared, attached to this Reso-ution, <br />• suggesting general areas where low-density development <br />and/or conservation should be given priority, and suggesting <br />a conceptual area for consideration as Hillsborough's future <br />limits far services and annexation; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners that the November Strategic Grovvfh Plan is hereby <br />accepted as statement of conditions and source of policy <br />recommendations for consideratien and continued discussion. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the attached map, "Proposed Hillsborough <br />Services /Annexation Area, Orange Countyfiown of H!Ilsboroughi <br />Coordinated Planning Area" dated January i 6, 2007, is accepted as a <br />conceptual staringpoint for subsequent discussions About jurisdictional <br />patterns. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Orange Caun#y Board of Commissioners <br />and the Hillsborough Town Board of Commissioners agr~e to initiate <br />discussions. intended to develop, for execution, an Interlocaf Agreement. <br />The provisions to be covered by this {nterlocal Agreei~nent shall include bvt <br />not be limited to the follovring: <br />., <br />.~ <br />
