However, based on the department's Traffic Noise Abatement <br />Policy, the "date of public knowledge" of the project will be the date of the Design Public <br />Hearing. Existing development will be considered during the final noise study, but new <br />development occurring after the Design Public Hearing will not be part of the analysis. <br />This policy is intended to encourage developers to assess noise impacts if they choose to <br />build adjacent to the interstate. <br />Again, thank you for your continued input. on this important project.
