2 <br />Traffic -Attached aze maps .supplied by NCDOT that depict estimated I-40 ADT (average daily trips) <br />volumes for 1996 and 2020. Volumes for 1996 range from 34,200 trips for the segment between I-85 and <br />Old NC 86 to 42,800 for the segment between NC 86 (Airport Road) and the Durham County line. <br />Estimated 2020 volumes for the same segments of I-40 respectively, range from 63,400 to 82,500 trips per <br />day.
