They have also provided support in configuration of the County <br />Intranet server. The IT Plan initiatives related to Legacy Systems and Citizen and Board Access <br />involve making more data available for use through the Internet and Intranet via Web pages <br />and Web data access applications <br />DBBasics has proven expertise in supporting staff in specialized development efforts. They will, <br />under this contract, work on-site with IS Department staff to assist with the Register of Deeds <br />Imaging System applications currently under development, enhancement of the existing Tax <br />Assessor Abstract Scanning and Retrieval System, Web deployment of the Clerk's Boards and <br />Commissions database, and other Web-oriented development efforts. <br />The Register of Deeds system is a legacy system that is being replaced under the IT Plan <br />Legacy Systems initiative. The Tax Assessor Abstract Scanning and Retrieval system is an IT <br />Plan Document Management initiative application developed earlier this year and requires <br />some enhancements. The Web applications are in support of the Strategic Communications <br />Plan and the Citizen and Board Access initiative of the IT Plan. <br />The IT Committee has reviewed this outsource development assistance approach and supports <br />it. <br />
