The intention was to have someone available from each county to coordinate with Geodetic Survey in completing the paperwork to record a boundary map agreed to by both counties in 1988. It is my understanding that the map produced by Geodetic Survey will be (1) approved by the Board of Commissioners (BOC) from both counties, (2) recorded in the Register of Deeds office in both counties, and (3) recorded in the Office of Secretary of State. On November 16, 1999, in accordance with NCGS 153A- 18(a), the Orange County Board of Commissioners appointed you to serve as Co- Special Commissioner for Orange County in the above described matter, as the two counties seek completion of their boundary agreement per NCGS 153A- 18(c). Your appointment takes effect on November 16, 1999 and ends with the recording of the boundary map in the office of the Secretary of State. It is anticipated that you will fulfill your duties according to the appropriate statutes and the agreements made, hereto, by the Orange County Board of Commissioners. Sincerely, Alice M.
