Chair <br />Boani of County Commissioners <br />PO Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Commissioner Jacobs: <br />RECFS':TED <br />SEP b 9 2006 <br />At its meeting on September 3, 2008, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Boani of <br />Education approved the following n~olution: <br />Be ~ therefore, resolved that the Board of Education urges the On3nge <br />County Board of Commissioners "to inkxease the school impact fees in <br />order to provide a source of funding to construct new schools to keep <br />pace with the district's growing student population and the escalating cost <br />of construction. <br />Be it further resolved that the Board of Education urges the Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners to continue to reimburse the impact fee <br />for newly constructed affordable housing. <br />We look fonnrard to further discussion on this important topic at our joint meeting <br />on September 25, 2008. <br />Sincerely, <br />Pamela S.
