<br />L. It shall be unlawful for anv person to keen a doa outdoors in an enclosure <br />includine a pen, run, kennel, fence, or electronically controlled containment device or <br />other outdoor enclosure in violation of this subsection. <br />1. Outdoor enclosures containing dogs must meet or exceed the <br />followinu dimensional requirements: <br />Size of Doe Required Minimum Enclosure Area <br />1-35 Pounds 80 Square Feet <br />36-75 Pounds 100 Square Feet <br />76 Pounds and greater 120 Square Feet <br />All outdoor enclosures must be of sufficient height so that the tallest dog contained <br />within the enclosure is able to walk naturally without its head reaching the roof or ton of <br />said enclosure. however the height of anv such enclosure shall not be included for the <br />purooses of determining the required minimum enclosure area. The provisions of this <br />ection XI(L) shall not apply to anv Person who held a valid permit to operate a Class I <br />Kennel or Class II Kennel from Orange County on or before January 1.2008 for so long <br />as such permit remains in full force and effect without lapse or revocation. All Persons <br />applying for a new Class I or Class II Kennel Permit after January 1.2008 shall comply <br />with this Section XI(Ll prior to the issuance of anv such permit. <br />(i) In addition to the required minimum enclosure area <br />established herein. additional space must be provided for each additional doa that is kept <br />in an outdoor enclosure as follows: for the second and each additional dog that is kept in <br />an outdoor enclosure with another dog fifty percent of the required minimum area <br />s ecified in subsection XI(L)(1) must be added to the minimum enclosure area. The <br />required minimum enclosure area shall be based on the weight of the largest dog <br />contained within the enclosure. <br />
