bOG1, „u a04 <br />Discussion ensued relative to the merits of the Ambulance Service which was <br />being rendered by Ambulance Services, Inc. <br />The County Administrator reviewed the ambulance service proposals which had <br />been submitted from the Orange County Rescue Squad, the Durham Ambulance Service <br />and Ambulance Services, Inc. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Ray, it was <br />moved and unanimously adopted, that the County allow its current contract with <br />Ambulance Services, Inc. to expire on December 31, 1968. <br />"Upon motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Ray, it was <br />moved and unanimously adopted, that Orange County sign a contract with Durham <br />Ambulance Services, Inc., for a term of one year, for ambulance service to the <br />Chapel Hill area, with the stipulation that the type of service to be rendered <br />by this company must substantially comply with the service-set'out"-by Plan "A" <br />of the.proposal submitted by Durham Ambulance Service to the Board of County <br />Commissioners and that the County would supplement the Durham Ambulance Service <br />in the amount of $29,300. <br />The County Administrator was directed to advise Ambulance Services, Inc., <br />Durham Ambulance Service and the County Attorney of the action of the County <br />Board of Commissioners,- <br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting adjourned. <br />Harvey D. Gattis, Acting Clerk <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />"September 6, 1968 <br />orange County Board of Commissioners <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina <br />Gentlemen: <br />This letter is to notify you that the Orange-Alamance Water System, Inc. <br />Board cif Directors met on September 5th and by unanimous vote directed <br />the officers of this Corporation to make the following statements to you: <br />(1) That the next application that the said Orange-Alamence <br />Water System, Inc, will make to the Farm Home Administration, <br />for either loan or grant funds, said application will <br />contain a request for funds with which to build a reservoir <br />on Haw Creek, together with a tank and filter system, and <br />such lateral lines as will be necessary to serve said system. <br />(2) Before making any further expansion, other than those <br />mentioned above, and replacing those lines which may be <br />deleted from our present proposed system, the said Orange- <br />Alamance Water System, Inc.
