a~ <br />1 Craig Benedict said that he would try and have a scope by the AOG meeting. <br />2 Mayor Foy said that there are elected people in both counties that view their obligations <br />3 similarly and there are mutual interests. He said that Chapel Hill's agreement with Orange <br />4 County makes them stick to their borciers and then: should be something like this with Chatham <br />5 County. <br />6 George Lacier said to identify specfic areas and have a Memorandum of Understanding, <br />7 which establishes a precedent. Mayor Foy agreed. <br />8 <br />9 7. Neat Organizational Steps <br />10 Chair Jacobs said that this information will be brought to the Assembly of Governments <br />11 meeting. He asked if the boards wanted to set up a group to talk about issues, or create <br />12 something like this that is ongoing without the Mayors/Chairs/Managers. <br />13 Commissioner Foushee said that it was discussed to create something that did not have <br />14 to be the Mayors/Chairs/Managers. <br />15 Chair Jacobs said that it would be other elected officals on the respective boards. <br />16 It was suggested to leave it to the AOG to discuss.
