In some issues, which we have
determined are outside of our scope or actual legal or other viable authority, we endeavor to
explain the considerations of.
Specifically there are 4 areas of concern.
1. Management of construction traffic
2. Traffic management post-construction
3. Verification of set-backs, buffers and building envelopes
4.. Lighting in the subdivision, and other misc. requests to address
1. Request :That we limit storage of and movement of construction vehicles/equipment.
That we place signs on state road limiting same, and that a financial burden be placed
upon the developer to enforce any improvements to the entrance road should any damage
occur.
Finding : It was discovered that the major concern is that neighbors are worried that construction
vehicles may use their respective driveways for turn-around traffic, and possibly park on Cabe
Ford (a public road) and the neighboring private road overnight.
Response: While we would need approval to install signage from DOT for any placement of
signs on the Cabe Ford ROW, we are amenable to installing signage at the entrance to the new
Cabe Crossing development indicating that no construction vehicles should go beyond the entry
and no turn-around construction traffic is allowed at the end of cabe ford rd. In addition, we
would be willing to install a similar sign on the private Grady Lane (intersecting road) with
written permission to do so. These items will be contained in the Construction Management Plan
which is to be prepared upon acceptance by the Post Engineering who is in charge of the road
construction plans.

1020 Vista Wood Drive, Hillsborough, N.C. 27278
e-mail Peloouin@mindsprinct.com
