I offer the following comments for your consideration.
1. Section 9.4.4 Law Enforcement and Emergency Servicesl911 Communications• the statement should say
that we dispatch for three municipal fire departments: Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Carrboro.
2. The two rescue squads are: Orange County Rescue Squad (Hillsborough) and South Orange Rescue
Squad (Carrboro).
3. Section 9.4.4.2 Needs Assessment Eno Volunteer Fire Department has recently constructed a new fire
station on St. Mary's Road.
Objectives:
1. Design and maintain an updated radio communication system (800 MHz) system to ensure reliable
notification and control of emergency assets throughout Orange County.
2. Develop and coordinate an emergency disaster plan and community outreach education program to
ensure all citizens are aware of the dangers of natural and manmade emergency events throughout the
county and prepare them to minimize danger, injury and loss.
These may seem a bit vague, so if you need additional information or clarification, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks.
frm
5/19/2008
