Pine Plantation (13 % Coverage) The pine plantation community is dominated by pine. This community appears to have been formerly planted for pines ,and is in the process of succession. The pines are approximately 30 years old with an average diameter at breast height (DBH) between 8- 10 inches. The primary species observed are included in Table 4. Table 4. No protected species or habitat was observed within the project area. 4.0 Conclusion Natural communities (Dry-Mesic Oak-Hickory forest and Piedmont/Low Mountain Alluvial Forest) comprised the majority of the property (approximately 71 percent of the properry). The remaining 29 percent is comprised of disturbed communities (Disturbed Disturbed/Maintained and Pine Plantation).
