~~ <br />C~otenp <br />;~va.~~,-,.:;~zi. , Group <br />Faunal species observed within the Dry-Mesic Oak-Hickory forest community include <br />spiders, box turtles, great-crested flycatchers, yellow billed cuckoos, red-spotted purples, <br />pearly eyes, and deer. <br />Piedmont/Low Mountain Alluvial Forest -Disturbed State (21 % Coverage) <br />This community is found in floodplains too small to have distinguishable vegetative <br />zones and is dominated by a variety of alluvial soils and vegetation (Shafale and Weakley <br />1990). This community was observed near the two waterways /drainage features on the <br />properly. The community on this property is described as "disturbed" due to a significant <br />amount of refuse and human activities observed throughout the area. The primary <br />species observed are included in Table 2. <br />Table 2. This community is comprised of species that thrive in disturbed <br />habitats, and also includes species associated with the adjacent communities. It is <br />variable in plant associations. and structure, and cannot be associated with a natural plant <br />community. The primary species observed are included in Table 3. <br />Table 3.
