Ways for pedestrians and <br />cyclists; Use by emergency or <br />service vehicles. <br />Walkways shall form a logical, <br />safe and convenient system <br />for pedestrian access to all <br />dwelling units, project <br />facilities, and principal off-site <br />pedestrian destinations. <br />Maximum walking distance in <br />the open between dwelling <br />units and parking areas, <br />delivery areas and refuse and <br />garbage storage areas <br />intended for use of occupants <br />shall not exceed one hundred <br />feet. <br />Walkways to be used by <br />substantial numbers of <br />children as play areas or <br />routes to school or other <br />destinations shall be so <br />located and safe-guarded as to <br />minimize contacts with normal <br />automotive traffic.
