Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Chair Jacobs: <br />Subject: Board Appointment <br />At the June 11th meeting of the Advisory Board on Aging all current applications for <br />membership to the Advisory Board were reviewed. The Advisory Board on Aging <br />recommends that Mr. Steve Lackey be considered for nomination to the vacant position <br />#1 as an at-large representative. <br />Mr. Lackey has served in a voluntary capacity with many community organizations. He <br />has chaired the former United Way Seniors Issues Team and is currently a member of the <br />United Way Orange County Community Care Cabinet. Mr. Lackey currently serves as <br />Vice-President of the Friends of the Robert and Pearl Seymour Center and is a member of <br />Project Compassion advisory board. <br />Mr, Lackey has attended numerous joint meetings of the Seniors Issue Team and the <br />Advisory Board on Aging and is well experienced with the functions of the Advisory <br />Board.
