N.C. <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Moses Carey, Jr., and vce-Chair Bany Jacobs <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Laura Blackmon, Assistant Managers Gwen <br />Harvey and Willie Best and Clerk to the Board Donna S. Baker (All other staff members will be <br />identfied appropriately below) <br />CHATHAM COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Carl Thompson, Vice-Chair George <br />Lucer and Commissioner Tom Vanderbedk <br />CHATHAM COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Charlie Home <br />TOWN OF PITTSBORO STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Bill Teny <br />TOWN OF PITTSBORO REPRESENTATIVES ABSENT: Mayor Randy Voller, <br />TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Roger Stanch <br />TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL REPRESENTATIVES ABSENT: Mayor Kevin Foy <br />TOWN OF CARRBORO REPRESENTATIVES: Mayor Mark Chilton <br />TOWN OF CARRBORO STAFF ABSENT: Town Manager Steve Stewart <br />OWASA REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: OWASA Board Vice-Chair Gordon Merklein and <br />Executive Din~ctor Ed Kerwin <br />UNC REPRESENTATNES PRESENT: Carolyn Efland, Associate Vice Chancellor for Campus <br />Services <br />The meeting began at 6:23 p.m. <br />1. DinneNWelcome and Introductions <br />Introductions were made. <br />Chair Carey said-that at the last meeting they discussed the items below and this is a <br />follow-up meeting. After the pn:vious planning meeting, there was sentiment that jurisdictions <br />would like to meet as full boards in the near future. He said that he would like to leave this <br />follow-up meeting with a din:ction of where to go from hen:. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said that some people thought that this meeting was under the <br />radar, but Chair Carey and Mayor Foy assured them at the Assembly of Governments meeting <br />that this was not the case. <br />2.
