' <br />Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett and Commissioners William C. <br />Ray, Carl M. Smith and Ira A. Ward. <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Henry S. Walker. <br />The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the proposed 1968-1969 budget. <br />The County Administrator was instructed to prepare the 1968-1969 budget <br />in complete form for adoption atna meeting to be held on Monday, July 22, 1968 <br />at 8 P.M. in the Commissioners room at the courthouse in Hillsborough, N. C. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was <br />adjourned to meet again on Monday, July 15, 1968, 7:30 P.M. in the courtroom <br />at the Chapel Hill City Hall in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. <br />Harvey D. Gattis, Acting Clerk <br />------------------------------ ------S OF THE ORANGE C0? ---_------- ------ <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />July 15, 1968 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County met in adjourned session <br />at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, July 15, 1968, in the Courtroom at the Chapel Hill City <br />Hall in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. <br />Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray, <br />Ira A. Ward and Henry S. Walker. <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Carl M. Smith. <br />This meeting was held at the request of Dr. Hubert Patterson, Chief Medical <br />Examiner for Orange County. Members of the following governmental agencies were <br />present: Medical Examiners, police and sheriff departments and Ambulance Service, <br />Inc. <br />Dr. Patterson stated that he was of the opinion that a lack of communications <br />existed between the various agencies present and that this meeting was called in <br />order that a discussion of the role that each agency felt it should assume and the <br />role that each agency felt that the other agencies should assume would be helpful in <br />resolving the current problems. Discussion ensued.
