10/10/00 <br />Outstanding Issues to be resolved by mid-February 200 1 (continued) <br />g) School Construction Standards <br />BOCC has expressed desire to review the current School <br />Construcfion Standards. Particular ar®as identified to-date <br />include: <br />• Prototype design vs. unique design <br />• Intlafion factor to apply <br />• Possible .use of Meadowmont site for new elementary <br />school #9 <br />i) Anticipated date for BOCC to identify areas for School November 2000 <br />Funding Work Group to review <br />ii) Re-convene School Funding Work Group November and December <br /> 2000 <br />iii) Work Group recommends School Construction Standards <br /> <br />updates to BOCC January 2001 <br />iv) Anticipated date of BOCC approval of Work Group Early February 2001 <br />recommendations <br />h) Student Capacity <br />BOCC has expressed concern regarding desire to review the <br />current School Construction Standards. Particular areas <br />identified to-date include: <br />• Enrollment vs. ADM <br /> <br />• Which projections to use: Counfy projections, state This may be an area that <br />BOCC asks the School <br />projecfions, school projections or some combination Funding Work Group to <br />• Scroggs Elementary: discuss during the review of <br />• Built within cost and construction standards for 600 School Construction <br />student elementary school Standards <br />• Current enrollment provides for 20 students per class - <br />making the total school capacity 510 <br />• If built for 600 students and by School APFO standards <br />it can go to 105% above capacity, capacity at Scroggs <br />can be increased at that one school by 120 studenfs <br />105% of 600 <br />
