19 <br />NORTH CAROLINA RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZING PAYMENT <br />ORANGE COUNTY IN LIEU OF LAND DEDICATION IN <br />FULFILLMENT OF SECTION IV -B -7 -b <br />"RECREATION SITES" FOR THE WILSON- <br />EFLAND MINOR SUBDIVISION <br />WHEREAS, the Subdivision Regulations of Orange'County <br />require either l)land dedications for.all subdivisions for the <br />purpose of recreation /open space, including the preservation of <br />natural and cultural resources, or 2) the payment of monies in <br />lieu of land dedication when the property in question is not <br />designated as a recreation and /or open space site within the <br />county's adopted Comprehensive Plan and when approved by the <br />Board of Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, the Wilson Efland Subdivision property is not <br />noted on the adopted Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan of <br />Orange County as a recreation and /or open space site and can <br />therefore be considered for the payment in lieu alternative to <br />the recreation /open space dedication regulations by the Board of <br />Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, the proponents of the Wilson Efland Subdivision <br />have made application to the Board of Commissioners for the <br />payment in lieu option and the Board of Commissioners have <br />determined that this payment in lieu is acceptable; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that the payment in lieu <br />fee for this property would equal $422.00; <br />1 <br />
