12 <br />Tt should be noted that all lots having aconventional-type drain field with pump are reviewed at a minimum of every five years by the <br />health department as required by 1 ~ A NCAC 13A .1961 (iVlaintenance of Sewage Systems). <br />Ultra Shallow Trench Conventional Systems are placed in areas with 24 inches or more of provisionally suitable characteristics and a <br />inch sail cap is placed over the trenches. <br />Shallotiv Trench Conventional Systems are placed in areas with 30 inches or more of provisionally suitable characteristics. <br />Conventional Systems are placed in areas with 36 inches or more of provisionally suitable characteristics. <br />The approved septic areas should be kept free of vehicular traffic, logging, grading and compacting activities. We recommend that the <br />septic areas be roped ar fenced during road and home construction to minimize soil disturbance. <br />This report is for planning purposes only and does not constitute any approval.
