Salary Grade 72 has <br />a hiring range of $38,262 - $46,505. <br />BACKGROUND: Currently, the Public Heath Education Supervisor position is vacant. Since the <br />duties and responsibilities have changed over the past months, the Health Director requested <br />that Personnel conduct a classification and pay study of the position to take account of the new <br />duties and responsibilities. <br />In the past, the Public~Health Education Supervisor was organizationally located in the Personal <br />Health Division reporting to the Personal Health Division Director, with supervisory responsibility <br />for one Public Health Educator that provided direct services to patients in clinics, schools and <br />the community. <br />Now, the Public Health Education Supervisor reports to the Health Director and is responsible <br />for all health promotion and health education services which includes the Healthy Carolinians <br />initiative, syphilis elimination project, wellness program, nutrition counseling and services, and <br />direct public health education services to patients in the clinics, schools and the community. <br />The Public Health Education Supervisor also now has supervisory responsibility for six <br />positions: four Public Health Educators, one Public Health Nurse and one Nutritionist. <br />
